I really was able to speak the language after one month

My personal experience was really good. The teacher was amazing and very good. The class was very supportive and very friendly. The location was great for me and so was the structure.

The teacher was very friendly. The level was okay for me. I took the extensive course and was disappointed by the conversation lessons.

I had a great time in my class and I learned a lot. The teachers would ask us what we wanted to learn and then teach us that, so we were well included. They also made sure we got ample talking time.

The location is alright, it's just badly insulated and the windows aren't exactly up to date, so dress appropriately for the cold months. You can reach it perfectly well, it's close to the university and right next to a metro station.

It was certainly an experience rather than an educational experience. Qualified teachers have improved my French a lot in just three weeks, within pretty classes, in a school that is easily accessible by bike. It was a pleasure to study with them, in particular the exits organized once a week by the school were interesting. I would return without hesitation

Although I did not have any knowledge when I first started to study at Stralang Language School in July, the difficulty of the French language was overcome due to the patience and kindness of my teachers in this school, and this course was constantly giving motivation to learn language apart from teaching different language. My experience was very positive. With the help of my class and conversation teachers I managed to overcome a barrier I had met in my French studies. The class was structured in a very helpful and interactive way. The location is well placed and I found the excursions fun and informing.

I took 6 months of courses in Stralang. I started with an AO level and I passed the TCF B2.

The courses are interactive and dynamic, allowing for quick learning. The activities carried out in progress are very instructive. Similarly the cultural activities are varied and instructive. The pedagogical team is very competent and always listening to the students. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn French while having fun.

2015 November i arrived to Strasbourg, I was feeling like alien because not so many person can understand English in France. After one week one of my friend advised to me starting the French courses and she was suggest her school "STRALANG". I listened her advise and registered the STRALANG in order to learn French.

In the beginning, i had known nothing about French but after one month i was already speaking and expressing myself fluently. French is one language so beautiful but the same time so hard to learn but STRALANG know how to teach it. The teachers are so professionals, they were giving so much materials also they were showing so much attention about your pronunciation.

They are using so many type of method for teaching , and they know where you can have difficulty when you are studying on the language. In the end after 3 months of my course i got my certificate and also i passed the official exam of French language TCF. So don't hesitate to register , you can be sure that you will be content in the end.

Before I started my language courses I was spending a lot of time searching for the french language school. I decided to stay in Strasbourg and study at Stralang institut.

The location is very comfortable, you can easely reach the school by the tram or bus.

Classes are small and fully equiped with all needed teaching materials, boards, screens ect. Usually we had classes with maximum 9 people. This fact allowed to comunicate effectively during the lessons.

We also got all required books and teaching materials at the school.
I would like to thank all teachers and the administartion of the school. Hopefully I will come back soon and continue to improve my french.

I like Stralang so much, because it's a real school. I studied 5 days per week for 8 months. The books are useful, the teachers are professional. If you like Strasbourg and you want to learn French, you should choose Stralang. This is the fastest course in Strasbourg. And the best. Location is easy to find. I generally liked the way of teaching.
Teachers have a great culture and they are professional.

With this language school, I got level B2 in TCF pour la DAP (which is a French exam that you have to take if you want to get in an university in France) in just 4 months and 7 days. I started my classes in the beginning of October at the level of A0, and with the help of this school I got to succeed in my exam which was on 10th February. So I would recommend it to anyone who wants learn a new language in such a short period of time. With the classes in small groups, lovely teachers and social activities, I assure you that you won't get bored!

If you are new there, then you don't need to worry much. The school administrative team were highly helpful in preparing documents and arranging accommodation. Teachers would always respond to my questions. It is a brilliant school where you can learn French in friendly atmosphere.

I was treated with respect and kindness by my professor and all the staff at Stralang. Ninety-nine percent of my opinion of the school is formed by my experience in class. The small class size permitted continuous and interesting cultural discussions (as well as current events) in addition, allowing the professor enough time to address all students' differing speeds of comprehension.

Lili was extremely patient with everyone but ESPECIALLY with me. I quit a high-paying job at 38 years old to pursue my dream of learning French and take a break from a profession I don't really care about. Regardless of my age, I've always been an annoyingly curious person constantly questioning facts presented to me and forever thirsty for more. This presents a difficult challenge to a professor who is trying to maintain instruction at the level of an A2 student while keeping the lesson plan moving forward and at the same time addressing the thirst for curiosity of her students to keep them interested and engaged. Lili had the "patience of Job" as she constantly juggled answering questions (mostly mine) while keeping things moving forward so that we stayed on track. Over 3 short months, I could see improvement in everyone. No matter the subject it's nearly impossible to see short-term improvements in one's own abilities. However, I've been in France fot 6 months and while my oral comprehension remains weak, every other dimension has improved significantly. I use a French language online application (monthly subscription required) and I am now assessed at B2 in every dimension except oral comprehension which it assesses at A2. This is exactly in line with how I feel I have progressed and I couldn't have ameliorated my grammar, writing or reading abilities without formal steady full-time instruction and without the help of a extremely competent, patient and intelligent professor like Lili.

The admin and other students at Stralang were all incredibly supportive and friendly. In fact, your school is 100 times better (in those terms) than the French school I attended in Paris from October through December. While the professors there were good, the students and the admin were definitely not! I felt strongly that the school in Paris cared little about students and a lot about profits. The students mostly spoke English inside and outside of class and were almost all below the age of 23. In stark comparison, I always felt Stralang cared about my progression (not just Lili, but also the admin and other students) and not once pushed to squeeze more money out of me.

If I had to give any critique at all it would have to do with the facilities. The facilities were more than acceptable for their purpose but the internet connection and A/V equipment could use an upgrade. Many times Lili had to turn her personal computer around to show us a video or power point slides in french. Ideally there would be a projector and/or a working TV screen in every classroom. In other words, every classroom should be equipped exactly as the one situated next to the Director's office.

The personnel have excellent performance and always had smiling faces. The whole time during the course was very enjoyable.

This language institution is amazing! The teachers were very competent and incredibly helpful. You always feel comfortable in class, which allows you to learn as much as possible. You learn a lot every day and you also get to meet new people in class. You have a variety of activities during the class in order to learn the different elements of the language, but the school also organized cultural activities to get in touch with the real culture and also to practice your language skills on the field and not only in the classroom. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful and you're always met with a big smile! Overall, an amazing experience from the beginning till the end!

I spent six months at Stralang, and I highly recommend it. Being a small school, it was very personal.I got to know both the teachers and my fellow students extremely well.The staff were very helpful, and they did everything possible to help me prepare for my exams (numerous practice exams,free writing corrections,grammar homework, etc.The teachers were topnotch and I learnt tons of knowledge in six months.The tutorial was a great chance to go over any problems I had (something not offered at most schools). I found the mix of students great (no cliques of any given nationality or age group), and I have nothing but good memories from my time there.

I took classes for a month but in that time I learned a lot. The teachers were very kind and friendly, my classmates were friendly. We would go out sometimes to the cultural places, I discovered more about French culture and their way of life. I thank you for the good experience in learning French language.

First of all, the price at Institute Stralang was better than other language schools in the city. I visited the school when I arrived in Strasbourg, met with Mr. Tok and I liked the school environment. I had some teachers, both of them were successful teachers. I got good opportunity to study at Stralang. The Stralang is best institute of language in the Strasbourg. They have best teacher, director and price. There were about 8-10 students my class where I studied very happy all the time. The teachers are almost available for you. They are teaching you one by one. So I was glad to becoming member of institute of Stralang.
The good thing about Stralang is the possibility to meet international students; you can learn a lot of things about other cultures. For instance I met Saudi-Arabia, Turkey, Korean, Mexican, English guys…. who are gave me a lot of fun. There was a fantastic atmosphere that makes me feel good.
After the short time studying, my French improved a lot. I can response quickly to other French guys at the market or other places. I can learn myself now.

When I decided to study in you school, I was a student of University of Strasbourg taking my Masters Degree. Since my French was not good enough, my university teacher suggested that I have to improve my French. When I studied at your school, I found that French became much more simple. Everyone wants to make friends there.For better communication, we tried to improve our French, with the very happy atmosphere, we've improved our French a lot Now I've returned to my hometown, every time I would think about those days in France, I will think of the days staying at Stralang. It's really nice to have known the nice teachers and make good friends at your school.

My overall experience is very good. I jumped very quickly from one level to the other. Obviously you have to work but you get the results in a friendly and serious environment. Teachers were very good, administrative staff were very kind to help you in whatever you need. Exams were being conducted on a regular basis to ensure you are in the level corresponding to your learning, otherwise you are invited to change the level. Teachers have control over the class to ensure respect inside the class considering it consist of different nationalities and to allow all students have same opportunity to participate and are not interrupted by others, especially at the beginning when the "speaking" part gets hard. Values and respect in a friendly environment to allow quick progress! Facilities were not extraordinaire but it is a nice place where you feel welcomed from the first moment! Nothing negative to point out.

The classes I took was 3 years ago. Me and my classmates were very motivated to learn and happy to share our culture, language and experiences. That was such a beautiful memory for everyone.
The social activities had offered not only basic knowledge but also comfortable ambiance to experience a new culture.
For me, Stralang is always recommended! And I really made much progress in French during that summer!

I truly enjoyed my time in Stralang. The groups were very small so the teachers have time for all students. The program was very rich in discussions on current topics, grammar, French culture and history. The lessons were very interesting and each day is different. The rooms were well equipped with Internet access, computers. The teachers also helped with additional tutorials or give advice and recommend books if you want to study at home. I learned a lot in Stralang, not only the language but also about France, Alsace, Strasbourg. The city is beautiful and international.

The quality of teaching varied between teachers. The classes were always energetic, but some teachers engaged with the students through topical discussion or roleplay, whilst other teachers seemed to prefer a more traditional approach; a teacher-led programme. This is not a criticism, just an observation, and different styles will be more familiar to different students (taking into account experiences with different international educational systems).

Personally, I felt the classes were mature, friendly, and intellectually stimulating, which is a tricky combination to balance due to the wide range of backgrounds and age groups in each class. Cultural sensitivity was evident, and the classes were clear of prejudice, racisim, ageism or sexisim.

The class size permitted a good degree of student-student relationship building, which complimented the teacher's efforts to create a safe environment to make mistakes and learn. The relationship between the teacher and students was respectful and not lacking patience.

The facilities were clean and generally well furnished. Although each room was small, I did not find it too claustrophobic, although I would think others might. The use of technology was minimal, but generally suited the objective of the lesson. Some rooms lacked proper visual-aids such as professional grade projectors and computers, but those rooms that did, permitted comfortable viewing of media such as film clips and news articles - both of which, I found very interesting as a cultural and language learning experience. Investment in better visual aids such as projectors, flipboards, posters, flash cards or other creative methods of teaching, would raising engagement levels.

Overall my impressions are very good. Stralang is clearly a very professionally run educational institution, that has mature processes and systems in place to permitted effective learning. I would summarise my feedback as follows:
- A student-led class following top-down objectives is often received better than a more traditional teaching approach
- The absence of any form of judgment or prejudice within the class and between students was excellent to observe
- Student class size was at the maximum limit
- Facilities require modernisation, but were comfortable nevertheless

My daughter and I attended Stralang for a month. I highly recommend this school. It is very well organized and well run. Classes are serious and focused yet at the same time expression is encouraged and interesting topics are covered, so the learning process is both productive and enjoyable. We had a very good teacher who was very intelligent, well prepared and committed and who was a genuinely caring person who gave everything she could to her students. She, in particular made our experience very positive. We also really appreciated just how international of an environment Stralang is. We literally met people from all over the world, this was eye opening for my younger daughter and Stralang regularly organized cultural outings that were stimulating and gave us the opportunity to meet other students from other classes and spend time with our teachers in a more colloquial setting.
I particularly appreciated the institute’s openness and motivation to renew and improve itself. This was evident in the care taken to have students evaluate various aspects of the program, and on occasion this was done orally as part of our lesson. This showed me two very important things. Firstly, that although the school is well known and successful they continue to strive to offer the best they can to their students and lastly, that the school is based on a democratic approach in which the voice of everyone is of value and an essential part of a vibrant learning community. This was very refreshing to me as institutions so often get set in their ways.
Location? Strasbourg is a beautiful city and a wonderful setting and this also made our stay very enjoyable. Like many people, we got around town by bicycle, as the city has an innovative subsidized bike rental plan that makes rentals very affordable and we enjoyed practicing French in its many open markets. There is a multi sala movie theater right in the area of the school, which was a great way to hear more French in the afternoon. We also joined a local yoga studio which was actually a great way to learn more French, relax and belong to another community. I swam in the city pool, that is a spectacular ancient bathhouse and a UNESCO site. I left my heart in Strasbourg and I know that I will return. I would recommend this school and a stay in Strasbourg without hesitation.

I would like to thank you for your patience and professionalism. I learnt a lot of grammar, speaking and writing and met other people from different nationalities. The teachers were always there to help you, and answer your questions. They all have very understandable and efficient teaching methods. I was one of the first students who joined this wonderful school, actually it was a great experience learning the French language , culture and part of French history. I was really very happy with everything. The teachers as well as the learning atmosphere in the class was great. Our teacher also explained everything very well. My language skills have improved significantly in one month. Once a week, there was also a cultural activity to participate in. Anyone who was enrolled in school could participate. So I had the opportunity to meet new people. There was also the opportunity to practice the language. I would definitely recommend it.

In Strasbourg there are 3 big french language school authorised by rectorate. These 3's acceptation provide you a good base in case of a visa requirement. One of them was more known but unreasonably expensive. I have been to other 2 school and I've to say that Stralang is more satisfying in almost all aspects.

When you go abroad to learn a language, you go to a multi-cultural environment and especially at the beginning, you can have some unexpected circumstances. At these cases the school administration is quite important and at Stralang I should say that I found a group of people which was very helpful and competent on their task.

I had good memories there and in the summer, I expect to pass some days in Strasbourg and I'd like to visit Stralang to drink again their famous tea.

During my stay in France, I studied in some language schools. I preferred Stralang for several reasons: First, it has good teachers to teach the different languages; ​​I have learned French, English and German. We do a lot of activities and cultural visits. There were a lot of mode of transport to get there (bicycle, bus and tram).

Being in Strasbourg is like being in the heart of Europe. Stralang is at the heart of Strasbourg.

The classes were not crowded, the students and the teachers were friendly.The Institute was very near the city center and the transportation to the institute was really easy.The place where we stayed at was clean and comfortable. For me there isn't any negative point.

I took a semester (five months) of the course at Stralang Institute in 2015; Following the placement test, I joined a B1-B2 level group.
At the end of the five months I reached level C1 by passing the DALF C1. It is a school with a very competent pedagogical team, a warm welcome and a very good organization.
We regularly had cultural activities that allowed us to discover the French culture by visiting museums, excursions, movies, shows, theater, international institutions, etc.
The school is very well located and easily accessible. I was able to meet many students from diverse cultures and make friendships with them. My stay in Stralang enabled me to achieve my linguistic goals and gain a unique experience. I thank the whole team of Stralang and especially its director for his reception.

Everything was perfect. I've got a really great experience. Institut Stralang provided a very familiar environment; all the activities which we’ve done over the weekend were created especially for socialization. It's very close to Strasbourg University, not far from city center, and it's quite easy to find studio houses for students.

In my opinion Stralang is the best place to learn French. I started my classes at Stralang eight months ago with the level of A1-A2. My French was poor at that time. However my French has improved immensely in a few month. Now I understand everything and can express myself at the B2 level. Well I would say that I really appreciated Lily. She is a very hard-working teacher and she knows how to take care and teach her students well. I studied French in Stralang in 2011, it was an amazing experience, the classes were always amusing, rich and varied. The teachers were friendly, and very helpful, conversation classes were really useful, and I loved cultural visits and extracurricular activities, Stralang's location is easy to find and reach with plenty of facilities all around, Strasbourg is a beautiful city, it has a very particular ambiance, I very much enjoyed my time there, I highly recommend it.

I've spent eight months in Stralang with its professional team. Each professor was talented, wise and proficient. The professors follow each student closely and they analyze their improvement. If someone need more support, they give it and if someone else need more practice, they provide it!

From October till mid-June, I've improved from A2 to C1. My improvement both in French language and French culture were seen obvious. At the beginning, I was quite bad at French language and a little bit depressed because of it. But my professor always motivated me and I improved myself very fast.

Professors use daily topics and current subjects to catch students attention. They are always prepared for lessons and they keep students surprising with their new methods in classes. I've never passed even a single bored day in Stralang!

The location is also near to city center. As it is, Stralang organizes city tours and cultural activities. Moreover, if you need any suggestions or remark, director and professors will be there for you.

I totally recommend students to choose Stralang with confidence.

When I started at Stralang, I didn't know anything. But by the end of the course which took nine months, I passed the DELF B2. First and above all thank you very much Stralang! The classes were in small groups, which gave the teacher more opportunity to focus on the students. All the staff there were really willing to help, very professional, polite and just positive. I felt very comfortable. The teachers at the school were super nice and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was friendly. I highly recommend this language course.

The Institut Stralang is very welcoming to foreign students. It was a great opportunity to meet people from different countries, learn about different cultures and everything about the French language and culture. In the first class of each monthly session the students had the opportunity to score what aspects of grammar, vocabulary and culture they would like to be addressed in the classroom, which seemed quite democratic, and from these notes the teacher sat on the class schedule. The same was true in phonetics classes and conversation. The school also proposed some cultural activities (extracurricular) to encourage us in learning about local aspects and the best interaction with the French language. One negative thing was the school disorganization, for example, they would change the classes that were supposed to be held in the morning to the afternoon shift. Another issue that bothered me was that they put students of different levels in the same class. But over all, it was a great experience.

Since I have arrived at Stralang, I have witnessed nothing in this institution but dedication-to-teach and passion-for-learning. The fine set of staff and teachers never hesitated to extend their support in order to help me not only to achieve my academic goals but also to enrich my social life in France. Moreover, the offering of small-size classes was the perfect setup for me as it allowed me to have a continuous one-to-one interaction with instructors.

Those at Stralang were not just instructors and staff, they were family, a family to which I will always belong. It has been a privilege to come to this school and I am so glad that I made this decision.
